Fortress Middle Management: Servants of Blood
-
Enough refactoring, I need to add new stuff.
-
0.0.2 release
Not like it’s much of a game yet, but here’s the first release. I don’t have a windows to test, any confirmation would be fantastic.
-
the open world game for anyone without imagination
i’m thinking about setting it on a distant planet. the cycle started with dwarfs and miners, then there’s games like FTL and mine will be the successful crash landing.
-
much too fast that gif, but scrolling on a big map works now :)
-
I should refactor this list thing as I’ll need it lots of time. But for how it’s a nice list with a cursor.
-
I can toggle between the main map view and the inspector. Progress!
I also recommend this blog post for nice and clear controls: http://tannerrogalsky.com/blog/2012/04/06/control-maps-in-love2d/

Turns out the OO lib I’m using requires me to re-assign things like Tile.workers in the init method, otherwise that value is shared across all tiles. Much tidier now. Next is some work on the job spawner.
-
Something has gone wrong… anyways, I present you The Cursor. And it moves :)
-
Simplemost job spawner is in (creates 5 million within four years!) and the jobs are listed. Not sure how long I’ll need that list, also thinking about the next steps.
-
Humble beginnings are humble. In the back I’m using LÖVE2D and already put my main classes into code. Next is the job list and then the first spreadsheets and pie charts :)
